  It was a pretty small and little-known band from many years ago, probably just a group of friends playing at local bars. And his Youtube channel isn't even dedicated to his band, it has just three videos, two of which are him playing instruments, and one is the band's "last gig", according to the title, and this video was uploaded just last year. I don't think it's weird that a former member of a small band like that would have a small Youtube channel that's mostly unrelated to the band itself. He probably uses it more for commenting on other videos than to share content himself. He was actually surprised that someone on the internet had heard of the band! And the song being called "Give Me a Chance" makes sense because it's one of the verses, and the band's old MySpace page has a song with that title listed, although unfortunately the media doesn't work anymore: https://myspace.com/thelocalisotopes/music/songs
  
  I've also tried using Wayback Machine to see if I could get the music on that page working again, but to no avail.

  I don't believe that the former member of the band has only 8 followers on the Youtube channel.  It's some random kid ... Keep looking.  Good luck!

  I just got confirmation from one of the band's members that the song is called "Give Me a Chance"! But unfortunately, he doesn't have a clean audio file of it. His confirmation was posted on the comments here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4-qMbZcX6w

  I've listened to Chancy Changes on that page, but the song is very different from the one I'm looking for. It's definitely not the same one, although it's also pretty good!

However, it's most likely called "Give Me a Chance", based on the band's old MySpace page.
