Me:
" Hi there,
I have quite a complex but unusual enquiry. In the The General Series 6000 Sound Effects Library, in the "Tape Cueing" category, in the first sound effect in the list called "TAPE, CUEING - MUSIC: CUEING ON PROFESSIONAL RECORDER 01",
soundeffects.fandom.com
Sound Ideas, TAPE, CUEING - MUSIC: CUEING ON PROFESSIONAL RECORDER...
This sound effect can be found on The General Series 6000 Sound Effects Library, which was made by Sound Ideas. First recorded: 1992 Creator: Brian Nimens Owner: Sound Ideas (1992-present) Origin: United States and Canada Year debut: 1994 First heard: Korean VHS Anti-Piracy Promo (1994-2007...

if you slow it down (here is a small excerpt of a slowed-down version of the effect)

Can you help me name this tune?
Other sample to name - origin is unknown, comes from tape rewind sound effect | WatZatSong

you can hear a bit of a song, or what sounds like a song, gradually speeding up or raising in pitch, then slowing down and lowering in pitch again towards the end. The question I want to ask is, was a song composed specifically for that effect to be used with that effect to give it something to use, or does it just sound like a song but there isn't actually one there? If a song was composed, what is it called and who was the composer? The Fandom page I linked to about that sound effect says Brian Nimens but I'm not sure if he would have also composed music for that library in-house while also being Sound Ideas's CEO, but it would make sense. The song itself though, according to what someone else said, is apparently unreleased and cannot be purchased anywhere.
I am sorry my questions are so detailed.
Best regards,
Jamie."
Him:
"Hi Jamie,
I apologize for the delay in getting back in touch with you.
We know the sound you are referring too but unfortunately the track that was used from our library was never documented so we do not have a record which song from our library was used. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Best,
Craig
Craig Nimens
Vice President"
Me:
"Hi Craig,
It is ok. Is the track itself in your library, though, or has it been removed? I know you said it was not documented so you don't have a record of its use, but would you know if the track itself was still in your library, or still with you in some capacity? If so, where would one have to look in your library to be able to find it? As in category of the music, tempo, mood, CD it was on etc?"
Him:
"Hi Jamie,
It is still in our library, but unfortuntely I can't give any more information then this as we have no documentation as to what library it is in as we have more than one library. Sorry I can't be more of a help.
Thanks,
Craig"
Me:
"Hi Craig,
It is alright. Thank you for helping me out with this enquiry. 😄"
The track that was used for that effect is in one of Sound Ideas's music libraries. The labels they have, looking at their fandom page, are:
Sound Ideas Production Music Library
• The Mix
• Turner Broadcast Music Library
• StockMusic.com
They also had two other third-party labels in Canada. These were:
Beatbox Music (1998-2005, also in US in the years 1998-late 2001)
De Wolfe Music (until 2005)

Do you want me to ask Sound Ideas anything else?
